Emily Prieto

Emily is an explorer for the new creative solarpunk world and catalyst for regenerative economies and permanent cultures (permacultures). As the co-founder of Seeds of Tao she helps create experiences and opportunities for entrepreneurs to build strong regenerative enterprises. She is an artist, creative designer, and brand strategist who has worked with small and large businesses to create content that shares the brand identity through a compelling message and story. Using her creative design talent, Emily has also become a permaculture land designer, helping to design both commercial and residential lands for long-term regenerative change. She fluently speaks Spanish and English, adores Latin-American culture and chooses to build community and regenerative stewardship in the rainforests of Central America alongside her husband and four children.

Why we're here

Our Vision 

We imagine a world where global economies are no longer extractive or exploitative. Where economies are tied to their local bioregions and enterprises are designed based upon regenerative business systems. In short, we see a future with regenerative business economies in every bioregion. 

This is no overnight transition completed by one organization. This is an ongoing endeavor meant for individuals and communities all over the world. At Seeds of Tao, we are committed to doing our part in that transition by helping to educate and support 100,000 current and future impact entrepreneurs by 2033. Helping them to start, build, or scale their regenerative enterprise. 

Our Mission 

To upgrade the education and support systems that our current and future entrepreneurs have access to. Entrepreneurs are a keystone species, in that if they were removed or reduced, our world would see drastic change. That change can be for better or worse, but we believe that entrepreneurs building regenerative enterprises have the greatest potential to help us transition toward economies that are both resilient and regenerative.

This is why our mission includes three specific objectives.

1) Open up access to educational resources that help entrepreneurs start, build, and scale regenerative enterprises.

2) Increase the success rate of entrepreneurs building triple-bottom-line profits into their business through incubation and acceleration programing.

3) Facilitate and provide space for entrepreneurs to create lasting change to local regions through bioregional support hubs.

We Build Strong Roots

We nurture our familial relationships with great care. We know that our work is generational and family roots must be strong to support regenerative change for the future.

We Start Fires

We help impact entrepreneurs to get started on their purpose
and passions. Whether a student, first-time founder, or serial venture entrepreneur we are with you right from the start. 

We Create Community

We establish a supportive community that lifts one another up in all endeavours. We attract good-spirited people into the community and enjoy being around each other. We guard each others hopes and nurture each others dreams. We influence and help each other to become better people.

We Learn and Teach

We grow the understanding of the deep interconnectedness we have with our people, the planet and future. We all have something to learn from one another. We all have something to teach.

We Play in Sandboxes

We invite the regenerative movement to come
play with us as we test and validate practices that pave the road for a solarpunk future together. Finding new solutions definitely takes experimentation and a willingness to get things wrong. You'll find an environment that encourages you to test, get things wrong, and learn from your mistakes.

We give back to individuals and communities with
love and respect for all. Each product we create, each service we provide is designed to create triple-bottom-line profits that give back to people, planet and future generations.
